Club Background

Silicon Valley Cyber Lions/Leos Club - ID#126169, MD4-C4, the first official Visionary Model Cyber Club in CA1, was chartered on 1/18/2016 with members from 11+ cities/countries to serve locally & globally.

Lions International Peace Poster Contest

The Lions International Peace Poster Contest was created in 1988 to give young people the opportunity to creatively express their feelings for world peace and to share their artistic visions with the world.  A Grand Prize Winner and 23 Merits Awards are selected from upwards of 600,000 Worldwide annual entries by children, 11, 12 & 13 years old.  Every year a contest theme is chosen and for this year it is "Dare To Dream".

SVCLC's Commitment for Peace Poster Contest

SVCLC has been organizing Exhibits of the winners for the past 7 years with the Peace Poster Department.  It is excited to obtain the authority and opportunity to work with LCI, Branding, and Peace Poster Department to promote the Peace Poster Contest and Exhibits at Lions Club events, various elite venues, including SFO Airport, S.F.  War Memorial Veterans Memorial Building, and online globally.   A special Peace Poster Desktop Calendar was also created to commemorate the partnership of LCI  and the United Nations, founded in S.F.  Copies were donated to all 15 MD4 Districts through their District Governors.

Launching of A Taste of Peace

The Board of Directors of SVCLC realized that to provide continuous support to the Peace Poster Programs, there needs to be ongoing revenue funding so the Youth, Art & Peace Programs can be supported by Clubs around the world.   Therefore, A Taste of Peace Wine Label Fundraising Program was soft-launched during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the three-month-long Exhibit hosted by the SFO Museum in 2022-2023.  The event was attended by Lions and dignitaries, with State Treasurer, Lion Fiona Ma as the keynote speaker for her SVCLC Club.  ATOP has now officially launched in Q1 of 2024.  The bottling event and ceremony will be on March 9 in Napa.  No one, Lions and Clubs, can use this program to make a profit other than to support:  Youth, Art, and Peace Programs.

Equally excited is to have the Guangdong Yueqi Lions Club join us to oversee and promote these programs in China.  Please join us to support the World’s No. 1 “Art In Peace” Program.
